About Sparta Municipal - Your Municipal Leasing Experts
Early in 2006, Sparta Commercial Services, Inc. began to look at broadening its business activities beyond the consumer financing and leasing products that the company had become known for in the powersports industry. By that time, the company had developed a unique expertise in leasing, having become the only nationwide provider of consumer leasing for motorcycles, All Terrain Vehicles, and select brands of scooters in the United States.
Sparta soon realized that the state and local governments throughout the country that were purchasing police motorcycles for law enforcement purposes could instead lease those vehicles, and thereby pay for them over time, rather than in entirely up-front expenditures. This alternative would enable those municipalities to acquire the motorcycles they needed, while lowering their annual capital outlays and agency budgets. Sparta recognized that a municipal leasing program, well structured and expressly designed for governmental organizations, had great service potential. The result was the development of a Sparta Municipal Lease Program that was carefully tailored to the needs and requirements of local and state agencies beginning in 2007.
Sparta’s Municipal Lease Program now enjoys leasing relationships with governmental entities throughout the country, including repetitive contracts when the initial lease terms expire. The “word-of-mouth" factor among law enforcement and other departments is outstanding—as is evinced by numerous testimonials on the program—and continues to lead to new transactions routinely.
As Sparta’s Municipal Lease Program has grown, so have the types of asset classes that the program can accommodate. Whether it's motorcycles, police cruisers, surveillance systems, fire apparatus, tactical vehicles, buses, trucks, EMS vehicles, or virtually any other category of necessary equipment, Sparta’s Municipal Lease Program can provide a more economical way of acquiring the resources that local and state governments require.
Finally, our Municipal Lease Department continues to receive considerable praise for its understanding of government acquisition procedures, its work with a wide range of vendors, and the assistance it is able to provide during bidding processes and other important related activities.
We welcome inquiries from any local or state government about our Municipal Lease Program and how we can help to meet their equipment needs, especially during these times of serious budgetary constraints for so many towns, cities, and states throughout the country.
